What changed
The reference lawyer fee in Tarifo’s Romania calculator now draws on Ghid UNBR 230/2025, the current fee guidance issued by the Uniunea Națională a Barourilor din România (UNBR), in place of the previous reference schedule. The court-fee side — the taxa judiciară de timbru under OUG nr. 80/2013 — is unchanged by this update.
Why it matters
Romanian lawyer fees are freely negotiated; the UNBR guide is reference guidance, not a binding tariff. Tracking the current guide keeps Tarifo’s lawyer-fee estimate aligned with what the profession itself publishes as a reasonable starting point, rather than a stale figure. The two engines stay independent: a change to the lawyer-fee guide does not move the court fee, and vice-versa.
